Beauty Review: Beauty Without Cruelty Mascara

It's always been difficult for me to find a mascara I really like since switching to cruelty-free & vegan beauty products & now that I've been trying to use only natural brands, that process has become even more difficult. So, when I was given the opportunity to try the Beauty Without Cruelty Full Volume Natural Mascara from a Vegan Cuts Makeup Box, I didn't have high hopes.

The brush is a full-bristled brush & the formula promises maximum length & thickness.

Here's a look at my natural lashes. They are neither too long nor too thick. They do have a bit of a natural curl to them.

After curling my lashes & applying two coats to my upper & lower lashes, I do notice thicker, longer lashes. Are they at their maximum length & thickness as the product claims? Definitely not, but for a natural formula, it's not bad at all. It's a perfect look for everyday & for work.

My issue with this mascara is just how wet it was. For the first two weeks, it was so wet, I couldn't get it to do much more than just coat my lashes. I wasn't getting the look from above at all. Even after it started drying out, it remained quite wet & the problem that poses is the incredible smudging while applying. Flecks of mascara would splatter all over my face while applying. It was an incredibly messy application. After applying, I would spend a good 5+ minutes just cleaning up all the smudging. For the amount of trouble I had to go through daily, the result was not worth it.
