Beauty Review: Shea Moisture Primer

Okay, I'll be honest - I haven't tried very many face primers over the years. Perhaps just a handful. Since transitioning to natural makeup products over a year ago, I have been re-purchasing this primer at least three or four times. In short, this review is long overdue!

Guys. If you have even a slight dryness to your skin, you must try this Shea Moisture Primer (available at Target). It is a white cream that glides on wonderfully & infuses my skin with moisture. I do need to let it sit for a few minutes to set if I'm wearing a mineral powder foundation so it doesn't streak. But I promise, it doesn't take long. My trick is to apply it immediately after my skincare routine & it sets while I pull out my clothes & jewelry. By the time I sit down to apply my makeup, it's completely dry!

So other than the moisturizing benefits, I do find that my makeup goes on super smooth & lasts much longer than any other primer I've used. I don't need to touch up my makeup as much as I used to.

The best part is that it's super accessible (Target, hello) & reasonably priced at around $15. A bottle of this used everyday (I only use a little larger than pea-size amount) lasts me upwards of 3 months, easy. So, it's super economical considering many natural brands tend to be pricier.

I highly recommend this if you're in the market for a cruelty-free, vegan, natural primer!
