Beauty Review: Tints Of Nature Permanent Color Hair Dye

Recently I needed to touch up my grays (yes, you read that right) for my engagement ceremony (pics on my Instagram). I wanted a natural hair dye - in the past I have used Revlon & Herbal Essences; not only are these filled with toxic chemicals, but also conduct cruel, unnecessary tests on animals.

I saw this Tints Of Nature hair dye on sale at Whole Foods for $14.99 so I decided to give it a try!
The shade I got is 2N Natural Darkest Brown. Not only is it free of animal-testing, it is free of major chemicals like ammonia & parabens & also contain botanicals & herbs.

The products included are:

  • A hair wrap
  • Gloves
  • Clarifying shampoo
  • Hydrating shampoo & conditioner
  • Color gel
  • Activator
  • Instructions
I followed the instructions thoroughly, which are similar to most hair dye instructions. Here are the results:

Overall, I'm satisfied with the level of coverage, however, it left my scalp very dry & flaky & my hair had a strange texture for a few days. I don't think I would re-purchase this again, but I'm open to trying other natural, vegan brands.
