Unboxing: Vegan Cuts Snack Box - March 2015

It's that time of the month & no, I don't mean that time of the month (though it's that time too)! It's Vegan Cuts Snack Box unboxing time! Woop Woop!

In case you haven't heard of Vegan Cuts, it's an online marketplace with discounted one-of-a-kind vegan items! Think of it like a cruelty-free Groupon! They have an awesome subscription service with a snack box & beauty box option (beauty box will be featured soon!) for only $19.95! This is an absolute steal considering the box is filled with goodies that are worth way more!

John & I agree to split each box depending on what we liked & I included a short review of my picks. I believe everyone's boxes were slightly different based on what was in stock, but you can check out what we got below!

* denotes favorites from our picks

John's Picks

A full-size bag of SuperEats Kale + Chia Chips - Chili Lime

A sample sachet of Wild Friends Sesame Cranberry Peanut Butter

A full-size Fruigee Kalefornia Grape Organic Fruit Snack*

A full-size can of Meatless Select Beef Chunks & Gravy*
This was our fave product from the whole box! We served it over white rice & it was flavorful, comforting, satisfying, & spot-on with the texture & taste!

A sample square of Tcho chocolate
This claims to have a taste of biscuit, but it tasted like a normal chocolate to us.

My Picks

A full-size bag of Ocean's Halo The Seaweed Chip - Korean BBQ*
I really liked this product because I love seaweed, so it's another fun way to eat it! I did feel like it was a tad salty, but so much less messy than roasted seaweed.

3 individual tea bags from Mighty Leaf - Vanilla Bean, Marrakesh Mint Green Tea, & Chocolate Mint Truffle
John has laid claim over the chocolate flavor, so I can't speak on that, but I tried the mint green tea & I must say ... I wasn't a fan. Green tea is pretty strong on its own, but I have little problem drinking it, but coupled with the mint flavor (of which I am not a fan), I felt that the mint overpowered the green tea. It tasted like liquid toothpaste with the aftertaste of green tea. I have better hopes for the vanilla bean..

A full-size bag of Chic-A-Peas Baked Crunchy Chickpea Snack - Sea Salt
I thought I would like this product, but I didn't. I realized I like chickpeas, just not roasted.

A small sample box of Funny Face Flavored Dried Cranberries - Choo Choo Cherry
I felt like this tasted like normal cranberries with a hint of cherry ... the packaging is adorable & would be great for kids!

A full-size boxed Munkijo 100% Organic Coconut Water
I typically love coconut water, but I don't know if it was the brand or the fact that it was boxed, but it tasted very salty.

Overall, the box wasn't a fail, but the products didn't really align with my tastes too much. However, just because they aren't my favorite doesn't mean you won't enjoy them! I'm excited for next month's box, so let's see what I get in there!
